Frequently asked questions
- 01Begin by exploring our lessons online or scheduling a trial lesson.
- 02We welcome students of all ages (8+) and skill levels. We tailor our lessons to each student’s interests and skill levels, making sure we keep the learning process fun and productive.
- 03As students will need to practice in between lessons, we require you to have your own guitar. We're happy to offer guidance on selecting your first instrument.
- 04We offer 30 minute lessons for beginners, and 60 minute lessons for intermediate and advanced students. Lessons are weekly, at the same day and time each week, and booked in monthly blocks.
- 05Absolutely! We combine your musical interests with essential techniques and theory. Our curriculum is personalized while ensuring proper skill development.
- 06We offer lessons Monday through Wednesday from noon to 8 p.m. We also offer lesson on Thursday evenings from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- 07Yes, we offer make-up lessons for properly canceled sessions, subject to instructor availability, but are limited to one cancellation per calendar month. 24-hour notice is required in order to receive a make-up lesson.
- 08Yes! We offer a free first lesson and consultation to make sure we’re the right fit for you or your child.
- 09Practice is essential. Without consistent practice, the student's progress will be extremely limited. We recommend a minimum of 15-30 minutes daily for beginners, and 30-60 minutes daily for intermediate and advanced students.
- 10Our instructors provide additional resources and alternative approaches when needed. We can adjust the pace and method to make sure your learning stays fun and productive.
- 11Performances are always optional but encouraged as confidence-building opportunities. Learn more here.
- 12Yes, we have experience working with various learning styles and needs. Please discuss any specific requirements during registration.
- 13While we strive to match students with the right instructor initially, we're happy to accommodate instructor changes if needed.
- 14Lessons are booked in monthly blocks. We ask for 7-day notice before the end of the month should the student require a pause in lessons. However, your time slot may be offered to another student.
Adam is very patient and professional. As a beginner he has helped me build foundational skills and pushes me to learn more by setting weekly goals. He is thorough in his correspondence emails outlining our next session goals, just as a reminder from our lesson. His teaching methods work. Thanks Adam.
